What's New (past 30 days)

Tree:

I've spent a lot of time normalizing the data in my overall database.  I've focused on the Places which needed serious work to get organized and verified.  You'll find that some places are now historic - meaning that at the time that the event occurred the place name given was correct but today that place has a new or different name.  An example is Prussia which changed hands many times and its borders moved quite often to the point that some places that were in Prussia are now in Germany, Poland, Russia, Netherlands, etc.  I'm in the process of geocoding all of the place locations which I find quite helpful but is an enormous task with over 4,000 places.

PLEASE NOTE:  I will include any family information here which you wish to donate that connects in with the overall trees.  I don't limit the database to direct descendants of anyone in particular although I do concentrate on my particular lines of ancestry which include Christmann Rittger of Kleinwallstadt, Bavaria, Germany, John Thomas McCaddin (of Ireland?), John Heiss of Württemberg, Germany, John Francis McDonald (of Ireland?) and their spouse families and ancestors.
