3500 Zu Georg Philipp Hoffmann gibt es keine weiteren Anhaltspunkte. Vielleicht ist er identisch mit dem Bürger und Metzger Georg Hoffmann, der erstmals 1634 als Pate genannt wird. Vielleicht ist er auch personengleich mit dem wohl etwas jnngeren Georg Hoffmann, "villicus" in Nilkheim. Vielleicht ist er auch identisch mit Philipp Hoffmann, der 1633 Grundbesitzer in Hösbach war. Sicher ist, daß er ein Bruder von Johann und Johann Jodokus war. Vermutlich ist er identisch mit dem Vater von Mathäus Hoffmann, der 1651 seinen Hösbacher Großvater, Hans Faulhaber, beerbte.
